At RODI Rwanda (Rwanda Organization for Development Initiatives), we’re driven by a simple mission: building stronger communities in Rwanda. We focus on four key areas: Gender Equality and Equity Promotion in Rwanda, Early Childhood Development and Child Protection in Rwanda, Climate Change Adaptation and Environmental Protection in Rwanda, Agriculture and Livelihood in Rwanda and Youth and Women Empowerment in Rwanda.

But what does this mean in practice? Let’s look beyond the numbers and see the real impact:

28,344 Beneficiaries Empowered:

Through various projects, thousands of individuals and families have experienced a positive change. They’ve gained valuable skills, improved their livelihoods, and discovered new opportunities for economic growth. From learning climate-resilient farming techniques to participating in women’s empowerment initiatives, these beneficiaries are at the heart of everything we do.

500 Saving Groups Fostering Financial Inclusion:

Financial inclusion is critical to community engagement. Our 500 saving groups empower rural communities to establish a culture of saving and investing. These groups allow members to pool resources, create safety nets, and invest in income-generating activities that uplift entire communities.

11 Diverse Projects Addressing Specific Needs:

Our development projects tackle various issues, from promoting gender equality to building climate resilience. We also focus on sustainable agriculture, early childhood development, and beyond. Each project is carefully designed to address the specific needs of a community while promoting self-sufficiency and sustainable practices.

1600 Dedicated Volunteers: The Backbone of RODI Rwanda:

Our volunteers are the fuel that propels our success. They share their dedication and passion, allowing us to reach more communities and create a lasting impact. With over 1600 volunteers actively involved, we can touch more lives and empower people with the skills they need for a brighter tomorrow.

Saving Groups: More Than Just Savings

These self-organized groups are crucial for many rural Rwandans’ financial well-being. Saving groups foster collaboration and mutual assistance. Members pool their savings and take out small loans for business ventures or family needs. RODI Rwanda facilitates forming these groups and provides training in financial literacy and entrepreneurship. This model has proven highly effective, particularly in empowering women and youth to achieve economic resilience.

Volunteers: Driving Force for Change

Volunteering is more than just giving back; it’s about creating lasting change. Our volunteers work alongside communities, sharing knowledge, offering support, and being part of a movement building self-reliant societies. Their involvement ensures RODI Rwanda’s programs continue to expand and thrive, from early childhood development initiatives to sustainable farming techniques.

Looking Ahead: Expanding Our Impact

With 11 ongoing projects and more in the pipeline, RODI Rwanda is poised to deepen its impact. Our commitment to gender equality, youth empowerment, climate resilience, and sustainable agriculture will continue to guide our future efforts. Each project is a stepping stone toward a better Rwanda where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
